about me

Okay. some more about me.

As I told you, I'm from Sri Lanka. It's a small, yet really beautiful island located in Indian Ocean, just below the Indian sub continent. I was born and bred in Galle, which is a cool town in the southern province.

I am both an academic and a work guy. My major in the university was Computer Science and Engineering. In job, basically I was a Software Engineer although some stupid titles were there from time to time. Later, I left the job for pursuing my higher education. Now I'm pursuing my postgrad studies in NUS. It's based on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Information Retrieval, mostly on web.

Most of my time is spent on computer, books, cartoons, cycling, other various funny stuff, and stupid but funny ideas - not necessarily in that order.

I love cats very much. I do not smoke.

For the past few months, my life's philosophy has been 'Work, Rest and Play'. You might see some of the traces of that ideology in this web site.

a brief history of time

I was born in 14th May, 1974. I had my primary and secondary education from Mahinda Vidyalaya, Galle. In 1993, I left the school, and joined the University of Moratuwa in 1995.

My major was Computer Science and Engineering, and I passed out in July, 2000. In the same month, I joined a software company as a Software Engineer. Boy did I love that job! It was just *great*, and it was one of the most enjoyable times in my life. Well, all the human stupidity was there, as you working gals/guys know; but the corporate office is a funny place to be - as you know again.

After about two years, I left the company. From then on, I'm studying at National University of Singapore. You might like to see my academic home page.
